Job Description
Employer is looking to hire a Mechanical Assembler to assist the production line by building various assemblies consisting of fabricated metal and hydraulic components. Only candidates who are looking for stable, long-term employment, with growth opportunities should apply.
Position Summary:
Mechanical Assembler should have a mechanical aptitude and ability to follow both verbal and
written instructions to ensure accurate and safe assembly. Success in this position requires the
ability to work independently and as part of a team while effectively using the necessary tools
and equipment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assemble mechanical components and carefully check connections for accuracy and
proper fit. - Utilize hand tools, power tools, or other machines to accurately assemble parts.
- Read, interpret, and follow schematics, blueprints, and assembly instructions to ensure
accurate assembly of components according to specifications. - Manually or with the assistance of jigs, position and align components and parts to ensure
correct assembly. - Maintain a safe and clean working environment by strictly adhering to safety procedures,
company rules, and regulations. Ensure tools and equipment are used safely and stored
properly. - Inspect completed assemblies for defects or alignment issues. Make necessary
adjustments to meet quality standards. - Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and
deadlines. Be willing to assist with additional tasks or learn new skills for advancement
opportunities. - Must show pride in work quality and strive to improve individually and contribute to the
positive morale of the company
Qualifications
Experience:
- At least 1 year of work experience in a manufacturing shop environment (preferred)
- At least 1 year of experience with mechanical work (preferred)
Skills:
- Basic knowledge of hand tools and mechanical assembly
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a clean and safe work environment
- Willingness to learn and take on new tasks as needed
- Ability to utilize tools such as wrenches, sockets, rachets, impact guns, torque wrenches, hammers, drilles, and taps
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Technical or vocational training in mechanical assembly or a related field is preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift a minimum of 60 lbs.
- Ability to stand for 8+ hours per day
- Frequent bending, moving, and lifting
- Comfortable working in a warehouse envioronment
Additional Requirements:
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Must maintain a good attendance record
- Must be able to read and write in English
