Position Description

Local Lakeland company looking for a part-time office assistant.

Responsibilities will include: 

  • Answering the phone – taking orders or messages as necessary
  • Taking orders from customers – eventually using Order Entry to enter orders
  • Opening mail as needed
  • Updating manual A/R balance with amounts from sales reports and balancing A/R to software
  • Posting checks with accounts receivable software
  • Preparing bank deposits- match with A/R check posting
  • Using credit card machine to enter credit card payments
  • Emailing, faxing, printing and mailing invoices copies as per list
    • Making sure Polk County Invoice is notarized
    • Scanning and emailing Polk County Invoice
  • Filing invoices

Position Qualifications:

  • Must have a pleasant and professional phone etiquette
  • Must be trustworthy with cash
  • Needs computer experience in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Must have a clean background and a valid Florida driver’s license.
